These boxes / boards are used to
convert from one form of SCSI to another. This conversion happens without
affecting the speed of the existing SCSI bus. Most come in (2) form
factors: Enclosed with an external power supply (to be added outside of the
server)
and
Internal board only (Uses computer power supply and optional 5 1/4" drive bay
adapter. Connects internally to the server and externally to the device.
