Simple IDE to IDE Interface
NoWrite is a native IDE to IDE device. Plug one side into your IDE hard disk
controller port and the other side into the IDE hard disk. No complicated SCSI
chains or adapters to fool with or complicated drivers to load. Just plug it in
and it works!
Operating System Independent
Since NoWrite is transparent to the computer and hard drive, it is
transparent to the operating system and application software. DOS, Windows, NT,
XP, Linux, SUN, heck even a MAC will not know it is there.
Absolute Write Blocking™
NoWrite's technology prevents the computer from writing to the hard disk. It
is a TRUE hardware write blocker.
Acquire drive images in Windows
NoWrite can be used with forensic software to acquire drives in DOS, WINDOWS,
LINUX or any operating system. This is done with the security of absolute write
blocking protection. It has been tested with SafeBack, Encase, Ilook, Ghost,
ByteBack and SnapBack. It should however work with any software.
Preview a drive in the field
Use NoWrite to preview a drive in the field using Encase, FTK or Ilook
preview mode, with complete confidence that the evidence will be preserved.
Use a USB or FireWire to IDE cable
Since NoWrite is transparent to the hardware, you can use any number of USB,
USB2 and FireWire to IDE adapter cables to connect your Laptop/Desktop to a
suspects drive in the field and preview the hard disk. Again, with the
confidence of preserving the evidence with NoWrite's absolute write blocking
technology.
